Guidelines

The primary service area of the Foundation
is the portion of the greater St. Croix Valley, which includes
Kanabec, Pine and Washington Counties, with particular emphasis
on the greater Stillwater area. Requests from the greater St.
Paul area will be considered in the event they will positively
serve the residents of the St. Croix Valley. The Foundation
will rarely make grants to programs located in other parts
of the Twin Cities metropolitan area or beyond.
The
Foundation will consider grant applications for:
- Capital projects, program expansions or special projects
of a limited time basis
- Start-up costs for promising new programs which demonstrate
sound management and clear goals
- Support for established agencies which have temporary or
transitional needs
- Programs or projects which benefit groups of individuals
or the community as a whole
The Foundation will not consider
grant applications for:
- Ongoing operating expenses
- Grants to individuals
- Medical research
