Applying
for a Tozer
Scholarship
It is our pleasure to work with you in providing this scholarship opportunity.
You will need to complete one
of the following forms:
- Scholarship Application for New High School Applicants
- Scholarship Application for Renewal Applicants
- Scholarship Application for In-College Applicants
The completed
Scholarship
Application
with its related documents needs
to
be
returned
to the
Tozer
Foundation
office. Please remember that it is important to pay attention
to
deadlines.
February
1st is when applications are due at the Tozer office.
New
high
school applicants will need to plan accordingly because
the
materials
will
be
due sooner at your high school counselor's office.
If you receive the Tozer Scholarship Award, you must send
a letter acknowledging receipt of the scholarship and final
school
choice.
You must also disclose in writing any other scholarships,
grants,
loans or aid you will be receiving. After receipt of this
disclosure, the Scholarship Secretary looks at each
individual application and determines whether the scholarship
amount will remain the same or be changed.
Checks will be sent to the individual schools twice during
the school year; first half payment is generally sent out
by mid-September and second half payment is generally sent
out by mid-January. The checks will not be sent out any
sooner than September or January and are not made out to the
individual
student. If you should have any problems with the college
as far as the scholarship funding, please do not hesitate to
call our office at 651-439-1530.
Remember to send your official transcript of grades to the
Tozer scholarship office at the end of each quarter or semester
depending on the individual college. Your GPA is expected
to
be
a 3.0 or above. This is important to the reapplication process.
A notice of reapplication will be sent to all scholarship
recipients
at their home/permanent address during the month of October.
A
new FASFA Student Aid Report is required each year.
Students are required to send their grade transcripts. Students
are
eligible
to reapply for a maximum of 4 years of undergraduate funding.
Remember, if you are turned down for a scholarship, you
may reapply for the scholarship as an in-college applicant.
The application is available on this web site or by calling
the
Tozer
office
and
requesting
the same.
